The bigger the badder! I only plan on taking the biggest ships I can, and as many as I can. Go big or go home.

I'm more for the light ships myself - Light cruisers and destroyers. A bit more agile, so they can rotate to bring the best shields to bear. Sure, not as much firepower, but only the Battleships have rear firing weapons. Get into the rear arc, pound them from there. With missiles if you have tehm.

So i've joined the beta for this. It's sounding pretty cool. I really like the idea of a bit of a roleplaying element in there. Anyway i'd say my most likely choice of ship is either a big nasty battleship with a hefty broadside that takes a while to get there but when it does everyone knows about it or a sleek little nimble destroyer that zips round the back and blasts you where it really hurts. Any one else got any idea what ship they might play?

I edited my post to fix up her bio a bit. There was just a little mistake with names, but I decided to spruce it up a little better.

Another thing: Health.
As Health is, to some degree or another, a measure of a character's defenses in most games, it doesn't make sense to have a large amount of health in a "realistic" game. Not to mention that a character with a negative con modifier would eventually reach zero health and die just from leveling
Health is going to be changed to the following: Constitution score plus a racial bonus and the Constitution modifier added every 10 levels (10, 20, 30). To compensate for the lack of health, a character will be granted bonuses to their defenses. These bonuses will be an option of a bonus to the character's Dodge Rating or some bonus to their armor (or something similar) but the exact bonuses are uncertain, as is when a character will receive them. I wouldn't be surprised if there was also a choice for bonus attribute points, perhaps, or maybe even another feat since we all love feats.
The Durable and Improved Durable feats may change - they may not, as well. I still have to think about it.
After discussing with a few people, Aimed Shots are not going to be changed, as they already increase the range by counteracting the second range increment's accuracy penalties. Also, the range increment thing above is likely going to be adopted as well. Still unsure for the Human bonus feat, but I'm leaning against it. I'm also leaning towards the ability choice for Scouts, but again, I'm still uncertain.
